The aim of the subject is to articulate the art of quality teaching methods for Social Science subject in upper and lower primary schools to cater for the learning needs of students. It emphasizes the importance of effective planning and programming following the set curriculum syllabus for each grade to maximize effective management and organisation in a class. The study of this subject also contributes to prepararing student teachers to familiarize the Social Science Curriculum in coordination with the respective elementary and primary grades in Papua New Guinea Schools, and to be highly confident to implementing appropriate teaching strategies for effective teaching and learning for quality output in the twenty-first century.
